Got out last Monday night for just about an hour of fishing. Fishing was pretty good and I went 5 for 6 trolling reef runners. The wind was blowing out of the East and I was in my small 14 footer. It took me almost an hour to get back to Maple Bay, and was met with the waves crashing the shoreline. Always fun to load the boat back up in those conditions. You guys know the routine well I'm sure.
The biggest fish tonight was a healthy 22 incher. The fun thing that happened tonight was I got a true double...that is, two fish on one crankbait, each one on a set of trebles. All fish were released tonight to fight again another day, which was a good idea because after the rough ride in and the roadtrip home, I was glad I didn't have fish to clean.
