Tournament Rules:
If the tournament is canceled due to weather, we will attempt to fish on the following day (April 18th).
Fish entered must be legally caught during tournament hours.There will be a live well check and boat inspection prior to the tournament.Your boat is to be empty of fish before the day of the tournament.
There is a maximum of 6 lines allowed per boat.All Michigan DNR rules are to be followed or teams will be subject to non-refundable disqualification by the NLWC board.There are no boundaries for this event, however, note that rivers are closed to walleye fishing and will be off-limits.No passing of fish from boat to boat is allowed.Teams may stop for fuel or go to shore during tournament hours if needed.
Take-off:
Be there early to get checked in.Please do not arrive to Eagle Bay Marina later than 6:15am.We will begin checking in teams around 5:45am.There is a fee for the launch that teams need to pay as they launch.Once teams have been checked in by NLWC they may proceed to launch their boats and head out the channel to the bay and stop to stage for our take-off scheduled for 7:00am.Monitor channel 68 on your marine radio for our countdown and final details.We will take-off together as one group.Be sure to keep a safe distance from other boats.
Return:
Teams are due back in and off plane by 3:00pm within sight of the channel to the Au Gres River mouth. Do not bring more than five walleyes to the weigh-in.The minimum size for our weigh-in is 15 inches.Dead fish will be accepted, however, there will be an 8oz. penalty for each dead fish based on the call of the weigh-master.Please allow us time to set up the weigh-in station completely prior to bringing fish to be weighed.You may use your own weigh-in bags or we will have some available.Teams may choose to either keep or release their fish.
