Congratulations to club members Todd Schreyer and Mark Jacobs who took 3rd place in the Master’s Walleye Circuit tournament the following weekend. The team led day 1 after bringing an impressive 19.08 lbs. catch to the scales. The event will be televised on VS on October 3 at 9:00 am and October 5 at 4:00 pm.
The club has again partnered with area organizations and has donated $1250.00 this month for walleye plantings on both Mullett and Black Lakes.
It’s hard to believe that summer is over and how quickly one has to transition from flip-flops and shorts to rubber boots and rain gear. Our last two events are rapidly approaching, and the race for the final top ten teams should be an exciting one, as the point’s race remains very close. We anticipate DNR members from the Inland Waterway Study to attend our weigh-ins and record data and take stomach samples.
Our next event is September 17 at 7:00 am on Crooked Lake launching out of the US 31 launch. The boundaries for this event are limited to Crooked and Pickeral Lakes.
Our final event is on October 1 at 7:00 am on the Inland Waterway launching out of Maple Bay with our banquet and awards ceremony to follow at Maple Bay Marine. Please invite your family members to join us!
