July 2011 Newsletter

Our June 4^th tournament on Lake Charlevoix provided ideal weather and fishing conditions with 16 teams bringing in a total of 66 fish.   Every team caught fish and 11 limits were brought to the scales.   Congratulations to our winners:

1st Place: Todd Schreyer & Gail Scharfee          5 fish,  20.55 lbs.

2nd Place:  Scott & Austin Landon                     5 fish,  15.76 lbs.

3rd Place:  Joe Godzick & Raliegh Goodspeed   5 fish,  14.21 lbs.

4th Place:  Craig & Luke Schrage                      5 fish, 13.08 lbs.

5th Place:  Mike Saker & Jim Parrott                  5 fish,  12.67 lbs.

Biggest Walleye:  Todd Schreyer & Gail Scharfee  7.34 lbs.

Our next club event is August 20, 2011 from 7:00am to 3:00pm on the Saint Mary’s River launching out of Anne Osborne in Sault Ste Marie. 

Club member Mark Jacobs is attempting to organize a tournament for club members and others on Burt Lake on July 16, 2011 from 7:00am – 3:00pm launching out of the state park with a cookout at his house to follow.  Please contact Mark asap or indicate on the website if you are interested in attending either the tournament or the cookout.  The tournament is a not a club event for points.  For more information contact Mark or look for updates on the website. 

There will be no board meeting in the month of July.
