Spent the afternoon out on burt with not much to show for it. 1 eye, and 1 perch. Hopefully things pick up. At least the ice is good.

Seems like your reports are similar regardless of the season....."Nothing much to show for it"....no

FYI,

It was brought to my attention from a friend that there were reports about a group of fisherman running multiple tip-ups over the limit on Burt Lake.  A complaint has been filed and DNR will be out to investigate.

If you plan on going thru with the same routine as last Sunday you should be fine.  They were talking today about cutting a trench to winch out.  Usually they just cut a trench  for the cable and then cut another hole at shore.

Putting the darkhouse out wednesday on Burt. There is more than one way to put fish on the ice.

Spook.....I think it goes- It's hard to fly with the eagles, when you work with turkey's.

First day in the darkhouse produced one walleye (which we let go by). Spook is set up right next to me and is already chummin for sturgeon.

guided mr.jacobs on burt lake sunday morning, supplied heat, minnows and convinced the eyes to ONLY hit his slammers all in all nice morning couple eyes and six perch

Decoyed a big 30" northern for Spook, he nailed the son of a gun. Lot of shrinkage when it came through the ice. Turns out just 24".

15 flags tonight only two fish to show for it. Think it is time to buy new hooks. One thing is for sure, travel on the lake is awesome.
