Lol...yeah Mullett can be tough, especially this time of year. The tournament is restricted to Mullett Lake ONLY and the rivers and their adjoining lakes are off-limits. Sorry, no running to Burt...
However, our last tournament of the season on Oct. 6 launching out of Maple Bay is for the Inland Waterway and you can go anywhere you want by water, just in case you miss Crooked or haven't gotten enough of Mullett.
I have a newsletter I'm getting ready to launch tonight that has more information...
This lake has the potential to really shake up the standings. It's hard to move up much at Burt, everybody does pretty well there. But at Mullett you can really move up if you bring a few to the weigh-in, or really crash if you get skunked. For those of you near the top, this is the big one of the year. The good news is you don't necessary have to bring in a lot of walleye to win this one, you just have to bring in more than everybody else. You guys have had a great season, and have really upped your game since you've joined the club. That's something to be proud of no matter what happens at Mullett.
See ya out there Ranger Boyz....................

Lots of perch, gobies, pike and bass! 3 walleyes from 14 7/8" to 17" in a combined 20 plus hours of fishing! I think I'll throw a bobber of the dock and drink beer all day! We'll still get 5 points and not have to get our asses kicked by huge waves! Glad some of know where to catch fish there (if there are any) 'cause I sure as hell don't! My dumb ass will still be there though!
What are the boundaries? Are the rivers open?

John, I'd just like to say thanks. Steve and I have had a blast fishing with the club through good times and bad. Glad you didn't take the comments the wrong way! We will be there and fish hard as always! Who knows we may learn something! We were talking out there the other day and mentioned the job you do as president of our club! I think you have done a great job and are doing alot to help our club grow! Your efforts have made you a true steward of Northern Michigan's walleye fishery! If I didn't work afternoons on a rotating schedule I would do more to help out! Hopefully we will be able to give the MSU boys a little bit of data!
