Steve and I will be fishing a MWT tournament in April on the Detroit River. Anyone else going? Any advice?

Good luck guys. Boat control and keeping your line vertical is very key to success on the DR. Back in the day when I fished it, I liked to use braided line in hi-vis color so it made it easier to see the line. With the stained water there, they certainly aren't line shy. You will definately want plenty of power in your bowmount with lots of reserve capacity.

I was clued in about the bow mount yesterday by Brian Warner. He said he ran his kicker the whole time. He finished in the top 10 in the last FLW tournament he fished there. Steve just bought a Ranger 617 but we won't have a kicker on it by then. The '87 Yarcraft it is!
